Co-producing - their artisan skills and my designs - with individual artisans and artisan groups around Lake Atitlan I have several lines of jewelry to offer. Fairly traded and beautiful. The wholesale price points are from $2.50 to$13.00 U.S.
The group of Maya women in this photo live with their families in the Guatemalan highlands above Lake Atitlan. 'Artesanas Las Perlas' (The Bead Artisans) - as they call themselves are skilled artisans in many handicrafts including beading, embroidery and crochet. Always eager to learn new designs and techniques each woman takes great pride in their work.They have used their earnings to help pay for school and in general to help support their families.
